Well I have been out of touch for the past few days and was in bed with the flu. Luckily it only lasted about 3 days and am back to work today. But I wanted to pass on some information to everybody about how to stay away from the swine.
Avoid the ER. Let's say you had your swine flu vaccination. You could still contract the bug. And if that happens, go to an ER only if your symptoms are severe. Otherwise you risk infecting dozens of other people, most of whom are already sick with something else.
Request the other flu shot. Ask your doc if an antiviral such as Tamiflu or Relenza might help. Starting to take either of these within 48 hours of the onset of your symptoms will speed your recovery.
Sanitize your hands. Since you're already sick, this probably seems pointless. But your hands can be powerful sources for transmitting the virus to everything you touch. You also need to degerm any dishes, glasses, and utensils you use.
Quarantine yourself. In this case, two's a crowd. Avoid any unnecessary physical contact with other people, including your family (unless they're all sick, too). You can begin to break your self-imposed isolation once you've been fever-free for at least 24 hours.
Here is a map of the flu and of course there is an app for that

I thought I had left Geometry back in High School?
Well last night was spent helping my brother with his 8th grade Geometry. I guess he's having a little trouble grasping the ideas but after sitting with him last night I realized that he just wasn't studying. So now we will be spending an hour a night on this subject. I had never brought home a book or studied ever in my life and see where I ended up. So I want Hunter to at least know how to study. I always wanted to be a teacher and now I have the chance to do that one hour a night.

Friday
I met up with Kay at Castaways right after work then went to Benihana for Mark's Birthday
I ended up back at Castaways to meet Kay, Rick, Kara and Dana, Lalli
Saturday
Soccer Practice was canceled so I went to Dick's and Best Buy to spend some of the gift certificates that I had from my birthday. I saw Jason and Alex driving around so I went back to my house in Bethel and watched the Pitt game with them. Then I headed to Outback with my grandparents and my brother. Later that night I watched X-Men Wolverine which I really liked.
Sunday
We played soccer at Elizabeth Forward and won 8-0 even though we really didn't play all that well. Then Hunter had CCD and I shopped at Rite Aid. So all and all a pretty boring but productive weekend!

What is Twitter?
Twitter describes itself as, “a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”
If you’re new Twitter, then that description might seem a bit vague and ambiguous. So, to help you wrap your mind around the short-form messaging tool, start thinking about Twitter as a new form of online communication. Twitter is just communication in a new shape, but it’s also a platform for listening to the communication of others in new ways.
Currently we have email, instant messenger, and VoIP tools like Skype as one-to-one or one-to-few online communication tools. For one-to-many online communication, online publishers can turn to blogs to create and distribute content rapidly and reach anyone on the web through RSS feeds.
Twitter is a combination of these various forms of communication, but its primary difference is that posts, or tweets, are restricted to 140 characters or less. As a Twitter user you can post updates, follow and view updates from other users (this is akin to subscribing to a blog’s RSS feed), and send a public reply or private direct message to connect with another Twitterer.
Though users can answer the prompt, “What are you doing?”, tweets have evolved to more than everyday experiences, and take the shape of shared links to interesting content on the web, conversations around hot topics (using hashtags), photos, videos, music, and, most importantly, real-time accounts from people who are in the midst of a newsworthy event, crisis, or natural disaster.
